Pulsar Star: Screws up shields, randomizing them each combat round?ĭyson Sphere surface: many energy structures across the strategic map, and a map completely covered in metal and arcane machinery? Space: units are swifter in zero g space, but may be instakilled by being pushed off the 'ground'? and A special universal mod is Always applied to infantry allowing them to enter deep space, limiting options for moddability of early units?Ī shattered world: all combats take place in with unstable tectonics and clouds of ash, obscuring visibility, reducing hit chances and sudden shifts of terrain occuring during combat? Global unique conditions or combat modifiers being in play, or unique restrictions or challenges would add imensly to immersion and replayability. If there is one mod in particular I plan to make it's giving the Vanguard a damn sniper lol.I wonder.for future content(or mods), could this powerfull toolset be used to created Habitat maps or Ringworld Maps or worlds with unique prevailing conditions? It just seems odd to not see things such as "More Colors for Coat of Arms" mod for AoW 3 added in, as I've only found one city recolor for the vanguards and sea color variations.ĭon't misunderstand I am not complaining, I was initially concerned that some kind of upheaval may have happened within the modding community with seeing locked comments and insinuations of deleted mods. The one thing that does surprise me is the lack of graphical mods, as you said it's essentially in a good place, and there's even race mods to boot. I understand this now having jumped into a few games, a lot of issues I had with AoW 3 are fixed in Planetfall and the fluidity is certainly there. Hades for example has zero modding and is both staggeringly successful and excellent.
